Binary collisions of dark matter blobs

چکیده
A bstract We describe the model-independent mechanism by which dark matter and structures heavier than ~ 8 × 10 11 GeV form binary pairs in early Universe that spin down merge both present throughout Universe’s history, producing potentially observable signals. Sufficiently dense objects will dominantly collide through mergers instead of random collisions. detail how one would estimate merger rate accounting for finite size effects, multibody interactions, friction with thermal bath. predict could be detected gravitational electromagnetic signals, noting such a unique source high frequency waves. rule out whose presence contradict observations CMB diffuse gamma-rays.

Rings of Dark Matter in Collisions between Clusters of Galaxies
Several lines of evidence suggest that the galaxy cluster Cl0024+17, an apparently relaxed system, is actually a collision of two clusters, the interaction occurring along our line of sight. Recent lensing observations suggest the presence of a ring-like dark matter structure, which has been interpreted as the result of such a collision. In this paper we present N -body simulations of cluster c...
متن کاملSinglet scalar dark matter in noncommutative space
In this paper, we examine the singlet scalar dark matter annihilation to becoming the Standard Model particles in the non-commutative space. In the recent decades, many candidates of dark matter have been offered, but our information about the nature of dark matter is still limited. There are such particle candidates as scalar matetr, fermion, boson, gauge boson, etc.; however, they have nei...

Lotty Ackerman, Matthew R. Buckley, Sean M. Carroll, and Marc Kamionkowski California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California 91125, USA (Received 16 December 2008; published 23 January 2009) We explore the feasibility and astrophysical consequences of a new long-range Uð1Þ gauge field (‘‘dark electromagnetism’’) that couples only to dark matter, not to the standard model. The dark matter...
متن کاملDark Matter and Dark Energy
I briefly review our current understanding of dark matter and dark energy. The first part of this paper focusses on issues pertaining to dark matter including observational evidence for its existence, current constraints and the ‘abundance of substructure’ and ‘cuspy core’ issues which arise in CDM. I also briefly describe MOND. The second part of this review focusses on dark energy. In this pa...
